“VIETNAM WALL” to join the Mid South Military History Show

The Mid South Military History & Civil War Show (MSMHCWS) is proud and honored to announce that we will be hosting the Vietnam Traveling Tribute “The Wall” at the 2016 MSMHCWS March 4, 5, & 6 at the Agri-Center Show Place Arena; Memphis, TN. “The Wall” will cross the Mississippi River and enter the city on Wednesday, March 2nd with a full military escort to the Agri-Center. Opening Ceremonies will be on Friday, March 4th at 12 noon at the Agri-Center Show Place Arena. This Tribute will be welcomed by the Armed Forces and local dignitaries. The public is invited to attend.

“The Wall” will be available to the public 24 hours a day from March 4th through March 6th free of charge in order for everyone to pay their respects. The 360 foot long American Veteran’s  Traveling Tribute contains the names of 58,272 men and women who died protecting our freedom. We are honored to offer our community and the Mid South a chance to pay tribute to the fallen  heroes of Vietnam.

Now in existence for over 49 years the MSMHCWS strives to expand it’s programs and pay tribute to all military veterans from the Revolutionary War to present day. With the addition
of “The Wall” we are planning the largest Military History Show in the Mid South’s history. There will be the largest collections of Military vehicles, weapons, cannons, memorabilia, re
enactors, relics, and rare collectibles with over 200 vendors.

In addition there will be teaching and educational experiences for our school children and the community. Reenactors will be camping outside the arena doing demonstrations and
cannon fire will fill the air every hour. We will also highlight eight of the country’s top historians in our historical lecture mini-series.

We plan to honor, respect and remember America’s military history and the great men and women that proudly served protecting our freedom. It will also be a gathering place for all
Veterans, military, armed forces, law enforcement, and firefighter organizations past and present.
