Mr. Larry McCluney, Jr. is a history teacher in Greenwood, Mississippi.  He studied at Delta State University and received both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in History form Mississippi State University.  Aside form the academic sphere, Larry is an active living historian who gives an excellent first person portrayal  of general Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard.  He is a member of the Mississippi Professional Educators and the Phi Alpha Theta, Honor Society for Historians.  Larry has held several prominent offices with the Sons of Confederate Veterans and is currently serving as Army of Tennessee Commander and is a national Officer on the General Executive Council.
He published a two page article on Beauvoir After Katrina and his first published book is The Yazoo Pass Expedition:  A union Thrust into the Delta published by History Press.  This book is the topic of his lecture.
